Hi, my name is Phil and my partner here is Rascal

I have been in the computer world for over twenty years doing work from programming to
security administrator. I have been a home owner for over twenty years and have always had pets in the house. Some of the pets I have owned are dogs, cats, gunea pigs, rats, chinchilla, fish, and hermit crabs.

Rascal has been part of the family for over 9 years and he still thinks he is a puppy. He is very smart and listens very well. He loves going for his daily walks and really has not slowed down too much. We trained him to walk off a leash and he always waits to be told when to cross the street.

Why did I choose this business?

March 2010 - We went on a family trip for 10 days. My parents check our house every second day while we are away and feed the fish. We left on the Thursday and my parents came over on the Saturday to check the house. They went into the basement but could not open the door. They were persistent and finally opened the door to a flooded basement. We had about an inch of water on our concrete floor. It was only about an inch from reaching our furnace motor and some of the wiring. They immediately made some calls for help to find out why it is flooded and started the cleanup process. The problem was the sump pump had kicked itself out of the piping and no longer was pumping the water out of the house.
We were fortunate because the basement is concrete and unfinished and all of our storage bins were plastic totes. The damage was minimal because my parents were checking our house.

I felt this is a service that some people could definitely use to protect there number one asset and could go on guilt free trips as their pets could stay in there comfortable environment

June 2010 - I was working in my office and my daughter was watching TV. All of a sudden my daughter is yelling at me that we have an emergency. I ran out to find our 40 gallon fish tank was gushing water out of it. I immediately got a bucket and started bailing as my wife and daughter got the shop vac and towels to try to clean up the mess. The fish tank cracked through the middle of it all the way accross. After bailing half of the water out of the tank it finally stopped and we rescued the fish and gave them to my niece. This is another example why it is a great idea to have someone check your house when you are away. Weird things can happen.
